It's finally over!
After a cold winter of training and a nervous last few days worrying about the heat, I finally ran the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon in pretty good conditions.
The first 15 miles were very enjoyable, the next 5 were quite tough and I can't remember much about the last 6 apart from the fact that 0.2 miles is quite a long way at the end of 26!
However, it was all worth it in the end as I'm told that my time of 3:47:59 is fairly respectable for a first timer and nothing hurts too much! More importantly I've raised nearly £3,000 already for Help a London Child.
Help a London Child provides financial support to grass-root projects for London’s less advantaged children.
