Hi everyone.

In a bid to stay as active as possible within the current restrictions and raise a bit of money for a very worthy cause, as a group we are aiming to run (or occasionally walk) a marathon a day every day in May.  26.2 miles/42.2km, day in, day out, come rain or shine.  The counter resets everyday - so this really is a marathon and not a sprint (in fact....31 marathons, with absolutely no sprinting!).

The charity we have chosen to support is the East End Community Foundation (https://eastendcf.org/east-end-emergency-fund/).  They have launched an appeal to help community groups and projects across Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham.  The impact of Coronavirus COVID-19 on vulnerable, elderly and disabled people is particularly severe and this East End Emergency Fund looks to ensure the support for these groups can continue as the impact of COVID-19 is felt throughout the community.  5 North Colonnade sits within Tower Hamlets and while we are not there in person it is important for us to continue to think about and support those that continue to call it home.
