Story
After a friend of mine took part in the London Moonwalk and I did a volunteer stint, I was bitten by the bug for a challenge. Being an overweight couch potato I decided to combine training for a walk with losing weight. That was in May.
I joined Slimming World and registered for the Cornwall Hospice Care Midnight Madness 15km walk. The money raised goes to St Julia's Hospice in Hayle and Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell where a relative of mine received wonderful care.
It's now July and I'm 20lbs lighter thanks to the diet and exercise and several kind people are also £££££'s lighter after donating and pledging - HUGE thanks to all of those including Steve at Steve Andrews Tyres, Phil & Pauline at Beech Motors and to a very kind and generous Henry Orchard for his massive donation.
This charity is important and provides essential care locally and I decided that if I was going to any sponsored event I wanted the money to benefit a Cornish charity and Mount Edgecumbe is a perfect choice for me.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated - go on, please be generous x

Thanks to Lang for his donation x he was successful in achieving lowest, bless him. Just wondering who will get highest???
It's now August - already! I'm still busy raising funds for this wonderful cause. I have invested in a rather fetching flourescent outfit - just the legwarmers to get so I can be safe and seen on the night. Those of you who have yet to donate may soon have the pleasure of me visiting you to drum up some more sponsorship. Don't worry, you won't be able to miss me wearing my outfit!!!!
