The club are based at the Manchester YMCA, Y, Club, Liverpool Road,  Manchester, and on Saturday 10th July 2010 along with 15 work colleagues, friends and family members, will be starting our epic walk up Ben Nevis, Fort William in Scotland to help raise funds for the Manchester Junior Maverick Teams. All monies raised through the fund-raising efforts will support the junior participation in the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball League, including custom built wheelchairs, kits and basketballs. So please dig deep and Manchester Mavericks Wheelchair Basketball Team wish to extend their gratitude for your support. The Team Members are as follows : Darren Warburton, John Lapatrie, Mark Kelly, Chris Openshaw, Janet & Dave Baxendale, Ian Johnson, Steven Makin, Kirsty Makin, Joanne Makin,  Hannah Wardle, Dave Campbell, Debbie Webster, Paul Bonney, Lynn Burrows, Linda smith, Joanne Lee, Steven Long.
