Story
Sport Relief is nearly upon us once more and this year the staff of Manchester City FC - from the groundsman to the Chief Exec, the tea lady to the press officer - will be getting behind this fantastic cause en masse.
On Friday 19th March, all staff will be participating in one of the events listed below, here at the City of Manchester Stadium. The events are:
The De Jong Challenge – Have you got the stamina of Nigel De Jong? A 5,000m run around the SportCity complex. The SWP Sprint – A sprint along Commonwealth Way. Try to beat Shaun Wright-Phillips' time over the same distance. The Mancini Mile – A walk around the Stadium, utilising the turrets and inner concourse. We’ll be raising money for Sport Relief, whose fundraising helps to transform the lives of some of those in desperate need across the UK and the world’s poorest countries. We'd be so grateful if you would show your support for this brilliant cause by sponsoring us. There will be a great prize for the person who earns the most sponsorship so make sure you put the name of your friend who's sent you this link in the messages box when making your donation.
If you'd like to do your bit for Sport Relief, why not take part in the Manchester Mile on Sunday 21st March? Go to www.sportrelief.com to book your place and make sure you look out for our stand while you're there!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you very much, from us all.
