Story
Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am Dave or The Manc Entrepreneur over on YouTube and along with my band of merry men, and women we are going to make the Yorkshire 3 Peaks our Bitch :D
Why Crohn's & Colitis UK?
Crohn's & Colitis UK is a charity close to my heart. A couple of years ago I saw how brutal Crohn's can be when one of my closest friends was hospitalised for weeks due to Crohn's disease.
At that time I promised myself I would do something to help raise money towards a cure. So here we are now in 2018 I have set a date in the calendar and now have no choice but to make this happen.
I am writing this at the beginning of February, I am in no shape at all to take on this challenge so the next few months will be fun... :/
The reality is I will go through a few months of discomfort to prepare for this, however those with Crohn's and Colitis have to cope with this for a lifetime...or until we help find a cure.
#GetYourBellyOut
On this page you can see we have joined the #GYBO team. Get Your Belly Out is a campaign started to raise awareness for Crohn's & Colitis and has been incredibly successful since their conception is 2014.
By teaming up with them we are bringing more awareness not only to this challenge but also to a wider initiative to raise awareness.
All of the money raised still goes directly to Crohn's and Colitis UK
What Is The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge?
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a 25 Mile circuit Trek which involves climbing the 3 tallest mountains in the Yorkshire Dales within 12 hours.
It is an endurance challenge the likes of which I haven't attempted before.
Why Should You Donate?
Chances are you know someone with Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis or if not, I bet you have met someone who has it and you didn't even know.
Sufferers of this disease can often feel alienated through no fault of their own and it can have other affects on the quality of life.
I am privileged as I know numerous incredibly strong and successful people who are plagued with this disease, and you wouldn't know it if you met them. However it is the battles that go on behind closed doors which are often the hardest.
If that doesn't motivate you to donate...then how about the fact an incredibly unfit bloke who stares at his computer all day is going to try a ludicrous endurance challenge?
Or as a final resort, if I have ever provided you any value in your business through my YouTube channel or businesses, I would greatly appreciate you donating whatever you can afford to this very worthy cause.
I will do my best to keep this page up to date with the training updates as I try to get in better shape in order to not fail miserably at this.
