Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.
LATEST NEWS: I completed the climb as planned on 1st June, along with 25 of my family and friends. It was a wonderful occasion. The photo shows my 5-year-old grand-daughter giving her speech on the cairn! Thanks to everyone for your generous sponsorship of Romsey Mill - it was great to reach the target of £2,820 (£10 per Munro), and then £3,000 (the qualifying height for a Munro!). If anyone else would like to get the total even higher, please do - it really is a great cause. THANKS!
Original introduction:
I'm having a double celebration in June 2019 - completing my round of Scotland's 282 Munro mountains, and reaching my 70th birthday. The final mountain is Meall Chuaich near Dalwhinnie, and I will be joined on the climb by about 40 friends and relations.
Romsey Mill means a lot to me. They do fantastic work in supporting young people and families in Cambridge and beyond, and they make a real difference in people's lives. My own daughter Emma was in real trouble as a teenager, and their support was literally life-changing.
I have been very touched by the generosity of many people over the years who have supported my previous attempts to raise funds for Romsey Mill - such as Three Peaks Challenges and my 1800 mile walk from John o'Groats to Land's End without crossing flowing water.
Thanks for your support!
