As many of you already know, my beautiful, funny, clever little Munchkin has special needs. Mair suffers from a severe and complex speech and language disorder and a global developmental delay. In a nutshell, she understands a lot but really struggles to talk and is usually only understood by those closest to her. Mair doesn't go to a mainstream class but instead attends the speech and language unit at Llandough Primary School. Mair is the bravest person I know and she makes me proud every single day. On Sunday my gorgeous girl is running the Cardiff 2K Fun Run (I will be trailing behind her trying to keep up as usual!). She's fundraising for Afasic which is a charity that supports children with speech and language impairments and has links with the speech and language unit that she attends. They are part of the team of people who have changed our lives. Any donation, no matter how small, would be gratefully appreciated!
