Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my sponsor page!
I am doing the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Peggy Henderson's. (This is the Animal Sanctuary just off Dane Road in Sale. The Santuary's formal name is the 'Society for Abandoned Animals' but to many locals it is still thought of as 'Peggy Henderson's' after the original founder).
I will be attempting to (gulp!) climb Ben Nevis (in Scotland), Snowdon (in Wales) and Scafell Pike (in the Lake District) to try and help raise some desperately needed funds.
I am hoping to raise a minimum of £460.00. This is the huge amount Peggy Henderson's must find each and every day to look after all the unwanted and abandoned animals in their care. This is a massive undertaking for any local charity, and so they do need our help!
My border collie 'Flo' will be climbing with me. Flo was unwanted by her previous owner and was taken in by Peggy Henderson's before coming to live with me. She has been with me for five years and now helps look after the rest of our extended 'family' and makes any new additions feel welcome, showing them what to do etc :)
Please, please dig deep and donate what you can. Every penny you donate goes directly to Peggy Henderson's and to the daily costs of looking after the neglected, abused or abandoned animals in their care until a new 'forever' home can be found.
Many many thanks for all the support so far, it has been fantastic - I will think of you all when I am 4,000 feet up, with holes in my boots and tears streaming down my face...
Uh-oh, first training session is looming...feel sick, feel sick...
