Story
As some of you may know, last September, I lost my step-dad to a very agressive form of terminal cancer, where he spent his last month at Jersey Hospice.
As a family we were able to visit every day, with my mum being able to stay through the night for weeks on end to be with him. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff are real-life angels, the level of care for Mark was unmatched. Everything was being done to keep him as comfortable as possible whilst he was suffering from debilitating pain.
No words can truly describe how incredible the care at Jersey Hospice is and how grateful both myself, my mum, and the rest of the family are for all that they did during those last few weeks of his life which were extremely traumatic and sad. After experiencing what they do first hand, I can't thank them enough for the care they gave to Mark.
I will be running the London marathon in his memory, in the hope of raising as much money as possible for such an important charity. This is going to be a huge nerve-wracking challenge for me, having never ran a marathon before, nor ran such a long distance!
To anyone that chooses to donate, it really does mean a lot - thank you xxxx
