Story
Through fundraising, The Chartwell Children's Cancer Trust provide a range of support services including, capital projects, equipment, training and medical staff in our local hospitals. The CCCT also fund Childhood Cancer Support Groups for children and their families in similar situations at such a difficult time.
The CCCT have developed ‘no isolation robots’ this, ingenious technology allows young cancer and leukaemia patients to access their education during and after treatment – virtually attending school, socialising with classmates and remaining connected to their support networks and communities. CCCT are the first charity to fund these life-changing robots in our local hospitals and schools. They fund and maintain a small army of robots with the ambition to supply as many as necessary to cover the needs of every child in our catchment area.
The CCCT are also developing a new ‘app’ that will provide key information to families and patients dealing with childhood cancer and to support them through their cancer journey, consolidating comprehensive information and advice into an easily accessible and understandable format.
