Story
I lost both my dearest mother and grandmother from dementia very recently. Dementia is a cruel and heart-breaking condition for both the individual and the family. The human brain is a mystery to many of us but it deserves a better understanding and treatment. I am inviting you to donate for my walk because I believe that there must be a way to improve our understanding of how to prevent dementia. It is so important to the patient to get an accurate early diagnosis and the right kind of help. Science should be able to delay its development once it is diagnosed. We must find a cure!
Let's donate to support research for the prevention and cure of dementia together. Let's spread the word for a world without dementia to raise public awareness. Thank you!
Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that’s the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it’s the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
