The critical threat to the health, safety, security and wellbeing of the poorer communities of the world is quite painful and sad to see, especially when those affected are innocent.
As a global community, we have a moral responsibility to help relieve the suffering of innocent people. Having the power to give where it is needed penetrates deeper than political tradeoffs.
SKT Welfare is a UK-registered charity dedicated to the delivery of humanitarian aid and solutions regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief; and operate under a strict 100% donation policy.

The campaign which I am raising money for is ´Stand4Syria´. Currently, the death toll in Syria is over 150,00, 9 million have been displaced, 2.7 million have become refugees, roughly 75% are without water, 60% of hospitals have been damaged or even destroyed, and 80,000 children are suffering from polio.
Stand4Syria are raising money for the following benefits:
- Much needed medical supplies and medicine to treat those with serious injuries and illness
- Provide fuel for hospitals to run on emergency generators and bakeries to provide bread for families
- Food packs for families who are starving and who have lost everything
- Construct water wells in refugee camps
- Distribute warm clothes for the winter months
- Set up schools in refugee camps
This will be my first Half Ironman and having only raced Sprint and Olympic distances, it is going to be a challenge of my mental and physical endurance. Racing a triathlon is painful, it pushes you to your limits, but it is short lived and is nothing compared to the prolonged pain which millions live with every day around the world.
Shattering personal goals and conquering challenges is highly rewarding, but for me, doing so in support of charity will transform the triathlon experience and make the months of pain worthwhile.
Helping others achieve their dream is one of mine. Millions dream of eating warm food and drinking sanitised water, having a sheltered place to sleep, an education to help better their lives, and access to medicine to treat diseases. Please help make my dream come true!
