Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page and your kind donations/support.
I was preparing for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Royal Oldham Hospital and Global Relief Trust (GRT) Charity.
On Tuesday 23rd February 2021 morning, I was climbing near my home in Peak District National Park (Saddleworth Moors). Whilst I was climbing down from the famous Trinnacle Stones, I suddenly blacked out and fell down almost 250 feet and rollled down further 300 feet or so.
I was injured extremely badly and broke many bones in my body. Broke my left ankle, my right leg was in pieces and shattered badly. Broke my L4 spinal bone. Shattered my right shoulder completely and broke my right shoulder blade. Damaged my skull, a skull bone have been moved towards the brain, suffered internal bleeding. My whole body was damaged apart from my left arm.
I am very lucky to be here and I believe it is a miracle. I thank the passers who helped me to survive by comforting me and calling the emergency services straightaway. I was rescued by the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team and Yorkshire Air Ambulance and winched up by HM Coastguard Helicopter.
I was in come for 3 weeks and half conscious for a week. All my treatments took place at the Sheffield Northern General Hospital as I was airlifted there. I was there for 2 months in total.
I don't remember anything about my accident and what happened after until I became conscious, 1 month after the accident.
I cannot thank enough or repay for everything was done to save me, but I would like to raise some money to support all the organisations (Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Oldham Mountain Rescue Team) and the hospital which looked after me in my critical time.
Your donations will be much appreciated. I will walk with my frame and crutches, and will do other activities once I am able to move around more. Please kindly support me whatever way you can. Please don't forget to add the gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer. Thank you.
