Thames Path Challenge · 29 September 2012 to 30 September 2012 ·
In an effort to raise some money for the Michael Matthews Foundation, 20 of us are participating in the Thames Path Challenge. It's a 50K walk along the Thames starting from Putney Bridge and going West and will should take about 8-12 hours.
The team is all signed up!: Luke Daynes, Sally Daynes, William Deboos, Pamela Parker, Marie-Paul Gallop, Mary Gallop, Bobby C., Helen Hurd, Jodi McInnes, Johhny Sapsford, Hannah Forbes, Tommy Wills, Krista Booker, Victoria Trister, David Farrer, Tim Despic, Becky Turnbull, Tom Marsh, Meredith Conacher, Ryan Selwood & Jonny "Hot Dog" Gillett.
The Michael Matthews Foundation was set up in memory of Luke, Sally and Will's cousin, Mike, who was the youngest ever Briton to summit Mount Everest aged 22. The Foundation raises money to help handicapped or underprivileged boys & girls to achieve excellence in sport – a number of whom have gone on to compete in the Paralympics. Hopefully this will strike a chord to all of you who have been shouting themselves silly willing on team GB (and our poorer commonwealth cousins)!
