Muslims In Hong Kong (MIHK) with Nepal

Nepal Earthquake · 28 April 2015
'Whatever you spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good you do, God is aware of it.'" [Al-Quran | 2:215]
Eight
million people have been affected by the 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Nepal -
more than a quarter of the country's population, says the United Nations.
International
aid has started arriving but there is still huge need - 1.4 million require
food aid, the UN said. The death toll has risen to 6,700, with almost 14,000
injured with the worst earthquake in 80 years, officials say.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Every Muslim has to give in charity." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 524]
It’s
a duty upon every Muslim to help those in need. We, at Muslims in Hong Kong,
are calling out to all the individual Muslims and organizations within Hong
Kong and afar to donate towards the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
MIHK has come together with Muslim Hands who
have a long history of work in Nepal and they are on the ground, delivering
vital emergency aid right now.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said:
"Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." [Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 589]
Sadaqah/Lilah accepted
"The alms are only for the Fuqara' (the
poor), and Al-Masakin (the needy) and those employed to collect (the funds);
and to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and
to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah's Cause, and for the
wayfarer (a traveler who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah.
And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise." [Al-Quran 9:60]
Please donate generously and let the people of Nepal know that Muslims in Hong Kong are with them through financial aid and heartfelt prayers.
