Hello,

Myself Shakibul Hassan. I welcome you to my page with a warm heart. I am going to tell you my story and my journey from the slum of Dhaka to my dream of being a Environmental informatics engineer. I want to heal the Earth and be a person who matters for the world. As I have completed my high school now I am in a university to complete my higher studies.

My parents are very simple, down to earth. I have two siblings one is 13 years old ( Tasbi ) he is autistic by birth. He can't walk or talk like normal kids and a sister 5 year old ( Niha ).

My story starts from when an angel was sent to my life and her name is Maria Conceicao. I'm calling her an angel cause she helped me and thousands of families like my family. She gave us shelter, food, place to live and education. I had no dreams and happiness. She taught me how to dream and what education means. It's because of her I have a high school degree and a dream to contribute to the betterment of mankind.

When I was enrolled into school it was a new environment. Everything was so neat and clean. Students were so friendly and teachers were so helpful and the school smelled like a newly opened book. I'm ever grateful to my angel.

In my school and high school days I accomplished a lots of achievements,

Debate : when I was in grade 9 I joined the debating club of my high school cause I knew then that this extracurricular activity is going to help me how to share my story and slowly surely. I learned how to talk and in the last year of my high school. I became the President of the debate club. I have participated in many national debate competitions even I was one of the participated debaters of Platform for childrens organized by UNESCO and BDF ( Bangladesh Debating Federation ) in 2018.

Scout : Scout is another part of my extracurricular activity. In here I learned that I should help everyone even my worst enemy. When I joined scouts I took an oath to help everyone. Within one year I was nominated for the President scout award in 2015.

BNCC ( Bangladesh National Cadet Corps) : In BNCC I learned how to work with a Team. One for all, all for one. How to maintain discipline. And to work on what you believe. I was also sent to BT camp where cadets are trained for one week. In that camp I won a gold medal in Extempore Speech amongst 100 of participants .

Leo Club ( sub club of Lions Club) : This club helped me to communicate with people out of my comfort zone. I know how it feels to live in poverty. I always wanted to be like my angel Maria concicao. And with help of this club I collected winter clothes from my high school friends and gave them to the street kids so that they can stay warm.

I have completed my high school and now I am an university candidate. I want to help thousands of childrens like me and educate them so that they can have a better future. Also want to make an autistic hospital so that autistic childrens like my brother can have better treatment and a better future.

Please help me to create a chain to change poverty.
