Story

We are often unaware and oblivious to the issues which fiercefully prevail across the globe

Mike Campbell was the brave Zimbabwean commercial farmer and conservationist who took President Robert Mugabe to court over his programme of land seizures, in which over 4,000 have been forced violently off the commercial farms and fewer than 300 remain on the land. Most farm workers are now in dire straits and MCF is often their only lifeline.

The importance of the rule of law and human rights in a society is often undermined. The Mike Campbell Foundation tackles this undermined issue and works towards the restoration of the rule of law in Zimbabwe and to uphold basic human rights. Ultimately, our vision is to eliminate human rights infringements across the entire SADC region.

Our objective is also to support victims of abuse, with particular focus on farm workers who are in dire straits as a result of gross violations arising from the redistributive land seizure programme which devastated Zimbabwe.
