We support people with dementia in Scotland to make sure nobody faces dementia alone

Story

This fundraising campaign is in memory of Billy & Lisa Graham who were callously murdered in the Tunisia Beach attack in Sousse.

The challenge will be alongside friends who attend MB Bootcamp sessions with the aim being to run a 10K on Thursday 15th October, a second 10K on Friday 16th October and a final 12K No Ego Challenge in Penrith on Saturday 17th October which is a 10K through mud and obstacles.

Monies raised will go to Alzheimers Scotland a cause close to Billy's heart having only lost his Mum to the disease a couple of months prior to his death.Alzheimers Scotland have a project called Dementia Dog

www.dementiadog.org.

...

The project involves the sponsoring of a dog throughout its training and its life supporting someone with dementia.

Along with my other friends within the Telecare industry we aim to carry out numerous fundraising activities to sponsor at least one dog who will be named Billy if we can get enough for a second that dog will be named Lisa. It costs in the region of £22000 to train a dementia dog a huge ask but we will try.

Such a fitting legacy to two lovely people so cruelly taken from us.
