WE ARE DOING IT AGAIN! WE BOOKED ON THE 2022 RIDE ACROSS BRITAIN
We have got the bug! Just a few months after swearing we would never want to do the ride again, we have forgotten the pain and exhaustion and are itching to get back and do it all over again.
On September the 10th, we will be taking part in the 2022 Ride Across Britain event and have pledged to raise at least £4400 for Parkinson's UK, a charity very close to our hearts and the hearts of many of our friends and family
The ride covers a total of 970miles and 52,500ft of climbing over 9days, begin at Lands End and finish in John O Groats
If you would like to check out the route we are taking, you can find it in the link below

Last year we were nervous about the camping aspect, but having done the full 9 nights in a tent, we both agreed that it is by far the better option. Being part of a basecamp with close to a thousand people made the experience all the more incredible
Having done the event before we are fully aware of the huge challenge ahead, many hours in the saddle, gruelling hill climbs, long sections on rough surfaces, the everchanging British weather, but all of this pales into insignificance when you make it to the finish line. As well as the huge sense of achievement is the feeling of overwhelming gratitude towards all the people that have supported you with their time and kind donations
If you would like to, please help us reach our target by donating what you can, whether its the cost of a takeaway coffee or a meal in a Michelin star restaurant, all donations will be very much appreciated. We will be self funding the trip, so 100% of what you donate will be going to Parkinson's UK
We plan to document our training and the event on my Instagram page @cycling_birmingham. We will also set up a FB page so people can follow along if they want to
Thanks again for your support and wish us luck
Mark and Matt
