We provide specialist services and support to help improve life after brain injury.

Story

I experienced a subarachnoid haemhorrage on 18th November 2008 and following life saving surgery, I was discharged and thought everything would then return to normal, but it soon became apparent that this was not to be the case and after attempting to return to work for 20 months, I was forced to acknowledge that due to the debilitating long term effects of an acquired brain injury, I was unable to continue working and was thankfully granted ill health retirement and sought to find my new "normal". One of the most important things that motivates me daily, is still being able to pursue my Love of the great outdoors through walking, which even in my darkest times, has helped to provide the impetus to carry on and considering how I struggled to walk the few steps to take a phone call from my Beloved Husband Ada while in hospital, it reminds me just how lucky I am and together with my Husband Ada, Brother Carl, Sister Karen, Nephew James, Niece Becky and close friends Tina and Sue, I aim to raise money for people FAR less fortunate than I am, by rambling from home across both the Lickey and Waseley Hills and back over to Upper Bittell Resevoir for the return home...wish us luck!
