We urgently need to raise £100,000 to feed the children of Gaza.
The blockade of Gaza doesn’t just stop essential items getting in; it stops Palestinians exporting goods out. It has practically shut down the economy in Gaza leading to widespread poverty.
Children growing up in poverty are especially vulnerable. Their parents are unable to afford an adequate diet. Anaemia is widespread. This condition, usually caused by dietary iron deficiency, affects most children in Gaza. Nearly 10% of children under five in Gaza suffer from stunting or chronic malnutrition.
Medical Aid for Palestinians’ project in Gaza helps these children by giving them a balanced nutritious diet including fruit and vegetables.
A donation of £10 buys 15 nutritious meals for children in Gaza.
