Story
Rough sleeping is showing a rise across the country, but the businesses of Nottingham are doing their part by participating in the CEO Sleepout on the 13th October.
Official figures from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), released in autumn 2015, showed a 30% increase in the number of people living on the streets last year when compared to the year before.
In Nottingham, there are, on average, an additional nine people sleeping rough every night.
Three members of the Midlands Asset Finance team are doing their bit by raising money and awareness of two charities that are doing their best to combat the homelessness epidemic that is sweeping the nation - Emmanuel House and The Friary.
Hayley, Antony and Ricky will spend the night sleeping rough at the home of the oldest football club in the world, Notts County, and will be joined by hundreds of other business owners and staff members.
Each company is aiming to raise £1000 and every penny will go towards the charities mentioned.
No sum is too small. Every penny will go towards a hot meal, a bed for the night or just a hot cup of coffee.
