Story
As I drove home from night-shift one morning listening to Clyde 1 they started to talk about their Cash for Kids appeal and the impact COVID 19 is having on families and particularly children who already live in poverty in our local area.
Many of us are currently gaining money from the situation through switching to night-shift, whilst these families situations worsen and it just didn’t feel right to me.
I started to think about what I could do to help and then wondered if anyone else on night-shift would want to join me.
I will be donating my £5 per night meal allowance for the full duration that I am on night-shift, which you’ll no doubt agree is a pretty small gesture.
This could really start to add up if a few of us did it, and could make a heck of a difference and a time when people really need it.
I you can't commit to that much, then any donation no matter how small will help.
