My mum fell ill from this awful illness in May 1993 when I was still in primary school. I've seen how this illness can tear a person apart and turn their whole life upside down. This illness doesn't just effect the person but also people around them. With no funding from the government and a lack of awareness in the general public I wish to not only raise funds but also awareness. 

I have seen my mum go from a been a healthy 31 year old woman, running around looking after 3 children and working full time to being wheelchair bound and in constant pain every single day. It not only causes awful pain but also attacks the nerves causing many other issues for many of the sufferers.  This includes digestive problems, cognitive issues together with taking away the patients independence.
