Story
On the 12th August, I am taking part in a Firewalk to support the disabled childrens charity KIDS. This will be held at the Duke Inn, Duke Street, Sutton Coldfield starting at 7.30.
KIDS work throughout England with many of their services running throughout the West Midlands region such as Birmingham, Solihull, Dudley and Warwickshire.
The KIDS vision is a world in which all disabled children and young people realise their aspirations and their right to an inclusive community which supports them and their families. In the West Midlands KIDS support disabled children, young people and their families through Early Years Creche Services, Information and Signposting, Family Support Services and a variety of leisure activities and youth programmes such as Transitions; which gives disabled young adults opportunies to socialise, learn new skills and to have access to employment and training opportunities. KIDS services supports disabled children and young people all the way to adulthood enabling them to develop their self confidence and live more independently.
I believe KIDS make an important difference to families caring for a disabled child or young person - please join me in supporting them!
