Hi my name is Lynn and was blessed to be part of Seedlings for Christ mission team in April 2012.  As we went about our outreach work to the compounds were Seedlings school is situated distributing food and provisions we came upon a sick 9yr old Gambian boy named Lamin.Lamin was knocked down by a taxi in January2012 and suffered neurological damageafter being in a coma for a month which resulted in difficulty moving his body parts on his right hand side,eating drinking and speech.He also suffered a fractured leg which was not put together correctly.On removal of a cast placed to treat his leg the flies had got inside and infected his foot and much suffering was endured by Lamin.Lamins family had run out of financial resources after his hospitalisation and he was left with an exposed infected foot, a leg not aligned and partial paralysis.Financial provision is needed for an operation which will go ahead once his foot has fully healed.A physiotherapist is also needed to aid his neurological problem.I thank Seedlings for their good works otherwise Lamin would be still suffering.
