We have set up a charity within brainstrust called 'Lloyd's Legacy' to fund counselling for people affected by brain tumours after my son Lloyd (colour) Green died in November 2015 aged 34. Lloyd was just a month away from graduating a four year degree in counselling when he was diagnosed with an astrocytoma and could no longer see clients due to the resulting epilepsy. He found it hard to get counselling for himself through his illness and we thought it only fitting, and it seems less of a waste of his years of studying, to do something to help change that for others going through a brain cancer diagnosis.

Lloyd lived with the disease for 5 years until it changed to a grade 4 GBM (Glioblastoma multiforme) and he was given 3 to 6 months of life left. We knew it was going to take him from us early in his life and had 5 wonderful years making the most of being together as a family. We (myself his mother, his two younger brothers, his step father and the Green family but mostly his nephew Jay) all have some wonderful memories of being together despite his illness.

 We Loved just being together away from work and responsibilities often camping out in the countryside and enjoying just being together.... so, after he has gone we want to keep doing that and we want every family to be able to do it too.

We have organised the Legacy Festival in Eastleigh a place where families can get together for a weekend, camp together under the stars, enjoy the bouncy castles and model boats and just run about safely in a field. The adults can enjoy the best local bands, have a couple of beers and feed the little ones at reasonable prices. A place for the community to get together and spend quality time away from it all. You can even bring the family dog as long as he/she is well behaved. 

100% of all profits of the bar and ticket sales go directly to Lloyd's Legacy to help people going through what we have, 25% of all traders profit also goes to the fund. I hope you can join us x x x
