Story
As most of you know, I absolutely love nursing and count it a privilege to care for people at what is often their lowest point. With this in mind, in December 2020 I plan to go to Nigeria for 8 months to use my nursing skills in a mission context. Through combining medicine and social care I'll be working to meet the needs of orphans and vulnerable children. As a 'Community Nurse Practitioner' I'll initially be working in community clinics and later on be involved in hospital medicine. This will include general nursing duties as well as training others in First Aid. As this is a voluntary venture I would really appreciate your support if you feel you are able to. Costs include travel, visas, living costs, training, vaccinations, accommodation etc! You get the idea!
As a committed Christian I am embarking on this adventure with the organisation SIM and this is their spiel..
Serving in Mission (SIM) is an International organization who works hand-in-hand with UK evangelical churches to send and receive cross-cultural workers equipped to reach out with the gospel to communities where Christ is least known. SIM works in a way which impacts the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the people we serve, through a huge variety of different ministries. In 2018, we are helping to send 152 workers to more than 70 countries.
