We support Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff families to help them cope with a diagnosis

Story

In memory of our beautiful daughters, Lydia and Ella, who would have been celebrating their 13th birthday on 13th June.

Every year, we hold a coffee and cake morning on Lydia and Ella's birthday weekend.  Unfortunately, due to the current covid-19 pandemic, this will not go ahead as planned this Saturday.  We would be extremely grateful if you spare the cost of a cuppa and slice of cake and would love to see any photos of your 'stay at home' coffee morning.

Lydia and Ella were born on 13th June 2007 just 1 minute apart.  They were 1 month premature but absolutely perfect.  After an eye examination at 6 months old, Lydia had the heart breaking diagnosis of Tay Sachs Disease.  Ella's same diagnosis was confirmed just 10 days later.  Our whole world fell apart but we somehow carried on knowing that time would be very limited with our little girls.  Their big sister, Jessica, was just 2 and a half when they were diagnosed.   She was, and still is, an amazing big sister.  Lydia fell asleep forever on 24th June 2010 and Ella on 15th August 2010.  Our little girls touched so many hearts while they were here with us and we miss them every day.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support.

Much love Leann, Dean, Jessica and Amelia xxxxxx
