Story
Since becoming a Centurion and running 103 miles in one serving, at the TP100, in May 2014, I have been battling two bulging discs and tendonitis in my right hamstring. This has kept me away from one of my many passions in life - running!
My injuries finally appear to be playing ball.......well, allowing me to run up to a certain distance anyway.
I have been asked to join a group of 'THHN WARRIORS', led by the greatest 'THHN WARRIOR' of them all - Mr. Glen Bevan, on an 11 mile assault course called the 'Kernow Killer', taking place on Saturday 29th October.
Now, you may say to yourself, that this is nothing to a man who can run 103 miles..........well, you would be WRONG! I am out of shape, unfit and I hate being wet and cold at the same time.......really hate it!!
My reasons for doing this are simple, I cannot refuse an invite from my brother Glen Bevan and it is time I got back in the trenches raising as much money as I can for my charity THHN - another of my many passions in life!
I am sure you all know that THHN provides very special memory making holidays for families who are living with serious illness and bereavement. Well I am very proud to say that since I set it up in 2009, we have provided over 600 families; that is over 2,350 people with very special memory making holidays, giving them memories to treasure forever! None of this would have been possible without your support, so I ask, if you can spare a few pennies to help us take our work further still, please do, any donation will be hugely valued appreciated, by myself, the team at THHN and the families we help - thank you!
