My stabilisers are off, flights are booked and less than 6 weeks to go before I join 'The Truants' to cycle 100 Miles across Cambodia raising money for Nordoff-Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline. So time to train hard, drink less (where possible) and hang up my chef whites and exchange for my cycling shorts - what a lovely thought for you all.. After what has been a great year I have decided it's really time to do my part in supporting these three truly amazing causes!
This 3 day cycle will be extremely gruelling and demanding on our bodies with 7.30amstarts, 26 degree heat and high humidity. The cycle will take place on-road, off-road, on dusty trails and rough terrain, so far out of my comfort zone!
Nordoff-Robbins: The UK’s leading provider of music therapy services. Their trained music therapists work with people of all ages to improve physical health and ability, address emotional and behavioural difficulties and increase creativity, self-esteem and confidence.

Teenage Cancer Trust: They lead the world in the care of young people with cancer. They make sure that patients are treated as young people first, cancer patients second. Everything that they do aims to improve the patient’s quality of life and chance of survival.

Childline: Childline is a service provided by the NSPCC. Since 1986, the service has counselled over 2.6 million vulnerable children that are bullied, or physically and sexually abused.

I have been training hard for this challenge for the past month, pushing myself by doing ‘Insanity’ workouts. Please just know that I am passionately working for this ride so that the Truants and I can hit our target of £1 million. Over the past 4 years, the Truants have raised a total of £754,250, leaving £245,750 to raise to make the magic MILLION mark of total funds donated to charity!
So, I kindly ask for your support, every single penny helps and and is greatly appreciated by myself, The Truants and most importantly these 3 amazing charities.
Here is a link to the Truants page so you can find out more information, check out our progress whilst we are there and see some funny photos of us all along the way.
