Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 4th September, I will play a 'Tennisathon' in aid of The Unicorn School, Abingdon, my old school.
Although I have been playing tennis for many years, I only took up competitive tennis last summer. I am now ranked in the top ten in the county for my age group and love everything to do with tennis.
In September, my aim is to go longer than the record tennis match between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut in Wimbledon 2010, which lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes over three days. I will play tennis all day, 0700-1806 (!), in a mixture of singles, doubles, rallying, drills and fun tennis (with suitable breaks). I will be supported by my dad, Andrew Strivens (Unicorn School Governor), other family members and an army of volunteers. As a minimum, come and join in from 5pm for the last hour of fun tennis to get me over the line! Contact my dad for details.
Please give generously - my target is £1,106, but with your help I would really like to do a lot better than that!
Just in case you don't know, The Unicorn School provides a first class specialist education to boys and girls aged 6-15/16 with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, speech, language and communication needs. Current priorities include a revamped all-year outdoor play area, a new all-school Wi-Fi system and a new science lab. For further information visit www.unicornoxford.co.uk.
Thank you for your support to my old school
