Story
Earlier this year our mum, Jayne and Aunty, Maria passed away peacefully in St David's Hospice after their brave battles with cancer. We cannot put into words how incredible each and every member of staff who cared for our loved ones were. The whole family were supported throughout this horrific ordeal and we will always be thankful that the staff ensured both our Mum and Aunty were comfortable in their end of life care.
St David’s Hospice has provided free care for over four decades, improving the lives of the thousands of patients they help every year that have incurable illnesses.
On average, this care costs £12,700 per day, a number which is constantly rising and the hospice is only part funded by NHS Wales- they rely heavily on donations to ensure this essential care remains free of charge.
We were so moved by the care our closest loved ones received that we are travelling a combined 247 miles, almost twice the length of Wales, over three challenges to raise as much as possible for an amazing hospice.
These three challenges will take place during August bank holiday (25th-27th August) and will consist of;
Friends will be supporting us on our challenges which we are eternally grateful for.
We are calling on family, friends, colleagues and anybody who can spare funds for a great cause to please help us reach our target so St David’s can continue helping the community.
Thank you in advance for your time and donations.
