Thanks for visiting my page!! If you know me then you are aware that I'm no runner... I like to do things that generally involve bobbing around in the water in the sunshine with minimum effort!!!! So for me this is HARD! Check out my strava page for conformation!!! But I'm I'm willing to go through the torture to raise some money for an excellent cause! I am a volunteer with The Wave Project South Devon. The basic idea of the project is to enhance young people's lives by teaching them to surf! We work with children and young people aged 8-21 who are at risk of social isolation. Over the time we work with them, we see them change from isolated and shy to more engaged, confident and happy. The ethos of acceptance, support and learning to overcome challenges, alongside the revitalising effect of being in the sea, is a unique and powerful combination that really does transform lives. For young people and their families who are finding life hard, the Wave Project gives them a sense of identity and becomes a significant part of their lives.
