Story
I am doing a charity bike ride in Zanzibar, known as the 'Spice Island' off Africa in June 2013. The trip consists of 190 miles spread across 7 days. The charity I am supporting is Heath Improvement Project Zanzibar (formally The Makunduchi Project). The healthcare there is terrible and they really need our help. At the moment 1 in 180 women die during delivery of their child and 1 in 6 children die under the age of 7. This to me really hits home as we take our heath care for granted. Please make a donation of any kind to help build a new hospital - there are at the moment few facilities on Zanzibar and my friends and I would very much like to make a difference.
Once this is completed it will make a huge difference to the lives of over 200,000 local people.
