Story
Last year, Lucy couldn’t ask for donations instead of presents as she didn’t hold an in-person birthday party. But she didn’t give up and still raised money for Lucy Air Ambulance by selling her toys, like the one in the picture, and saving her pocket money from her grandparents to donate to them too.
This year, if everything goes to plan, Lucy is inviting her friends to join her at her birthday party to celebrate, and instead of bringing a present – which she doesn’t expect – asking them to donate to this charity instead, which she has been raising money for since she was two years old.
But you don’t have to be invited to her party to help Lucy reach her target, anyone can donate and every little helps. If you are feeling generous please support Lucy and help this charity to keep providing the vital service it does to the vulnerable children that need it the most.
Thank you 😊
As each moment passes the impact of COVID-19 deepens and its grip on our society tightens. Lucy Air Ambulance for Children will have a role to play in the following weeks and months as pressure on the NHS rises and it becomes vital that charities like us are able to continue to provide our free service. As a small organisation with limited financial reserves we are particularly vulnerable. We are entirely reliant on voluntary fundraising and we are already seeing the financial impact of the virus with fundraising and events being cancelled. At the moment we are forecasting an 80% drop in our annual income and are facing the real possibility of having to cease operating. This will be devastating for the families who need our help and the NHS who needs our service.
