As many know, my darling husband Viv died suddenly from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm in 2015. He was 36 and we have 4 children, our youngest marni was just 9 months old at the time. He went out for a run and collapsed on Hampstead Heath, dying 2 days later with us all by his side. Over the past 4 years we have built a new life with Viv very much still at the heart of it.
We started fundraising 2 1/2 years ago, 40 events by Viv’s 40th, and have had so many adventures along the way. I have always been very touched by everyone’s support and generosity. The marathon will be last fundraising event we do.
Why Grief Encounter?
Grief Encounter have been there since the early days and I am so pleased I made that initial call when I had no idea how to cope. They are a wonderful charity open to all and put no time limit of grief and support for the children. All their service are free. They are continuing to work with myself and the children and are showing us how to live along side our grief.
Thank you for your support, love Lucy x
