WE'VE DONE IT!!
Amazing, I loved every minute (not so sure about Chris!), but we stuck together and completed the distance in 1hr 13 which given the lack of training noted below we are both pretty chuffed with.
Thanks again to everyone for the sponsorship, which certainly helped keep us going.

1/7/10 Update:
Training has improved a little with the good weather!
We are overwhelmed by the support we have received - thanks so much to everyone who has sponsored us already.
Hi
Some of you probably heard that after my skiing accident last year and subsequent knee operation I signed up for the Leeds 10k on 4th July so I had a goal to work towards. I can't quite remember how it happened, but either after a few drinks or some goading by the boys (or a bit of both), Chris signed up for it too!!
Chris' training has been patchy to say the least, and I was only allowed by the physio to start running last week (and its been a bit wet since then) so I can confidently say that we don't expect to achieve any good, or even average times to be honest. However we are both (yes, both!) determined to complete the race as best we can.
We have chosen to donate any funds that we manage to raise (and it is a bit last minute I know) to Macmillan Cancer Support. Both our families have been touched by cancer and Macmillan provide a wide range of support - from information and support to friends and relatives to practical care and help for the patient themsleves.
We would be very grateful for any donations (at all).
Thank you very much.
Lucy and Chris xx
