Story

Hello!

Thanks very much for visiting my JustGiving page.

The glutton for punishment that I am, I've decided to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon this October and hold a charity place with Parkinson's UK. I was spurred to do this in memory of my best friend's father, John Abbs, a Parkinson's sufferer, who sadly passed away this March.

I have just checked and I currently have 900 facebook friends: some might call that embarrassing, I call that savvy since this is now the time for me to call upon your friendship - if every one of you donated £1...well you hopefully know how much that would make - a lot of difference.

The work of Parkinson's UK is pivotal in the search to find a cure for this disease and aiding sufferers and their families with the care and support they need.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

xxxxxx

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
