Story
I have recently signed up to a charity bike ride from London to Paris in 3 days for Hope for children (HOPE)! The challenge begins on the 27th of June 2010 at the Tower of London and ends, after a grueling ride of over 200 miles, at the Eiffel Tower in Paris!
The cycle starts with a 69 mile run from London to Newhaven where we will catch the ferry over to Dieppe. The second day will see us move from Dieppe to Gournay on Bray, a total of 54 miles. The last day will be the toughest of the three cycling 79 miles from Gournay on Bray to Paris where we will take a tour around the Avenue Des Champs Elysees, and around the Arc De Triomph before finishing at the Trocadero Gardens with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. The day will no doubt be finished off with a few drinks to celebrate!!
The charity I am cycling for is Hope for Children (HOPE). The charity was founded in 1994 and helps disabled, orphaned, poor and exploited children in both developing countries and here in the UK. HOPE is a no frill, low cost charity where 100% of the donations go direct to their projects. If you would like more information on the work the charity does please check out there website www.hope-for-children.org
This will be the toughest challenge of my life and the training starts now! It is a great charity and any donations towards my £600 target will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!!
