Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Chester Marathon on 5 Oct 2014 with my husband Paul, to "celebrate" my continued good health following treatment for an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2002. My aim is to "get round," but if I completed the distance in under 5 hours I would be really pleased!

We are raising funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd which cares for more than 1,500 people in Cheshire and Deeside every year. The hospice helps to improve the quality of life for those living with any incurable illness, and gives support to families, friends and carers. To provide free care, the hospice needs to raise at least £6,800 every day so if you can spare any amount to sponsor us, no matter how small, we would be really grateful.

Thank you so much!

Lucy and Paul.
