Hi! My name is Lucas. I am a 12-year-old Cocker Spaniel boy, who arrived in the care of Oldies Club, a volunteer-run charity that rescues and rehomes older dogs in the UK, earlier in 2017.

Fundraising goal updated to £6661.79 to reflect additional veterinary treatment Lucas has received, paid for by Oldies Club. Any donation at all that you can spare would be much appreciated :-)

I have settled into my foster home and have been enjoying walks and attention, but I have had to visit the vet on various occasions since arriving in Oldies Club care a few months ago. I recommend you don't read this next bit if you're eating ... but I have been having some problem with my anal glands and this week, I had to have them flushed and packed out with antibiotics. Please keep everything crossed this resolves the problem so that I can avoid having to have them removed. I also had a dental.

I heard that Oldies Club had received a new vet bill of £1,337.82 this week for my recent treatment, in addition to costs already incurred, so I decided to setup this page (with a little help ;-)) and I ask you, if you are able, to please make a donation and to ask your dog-loving family, friends etc. if they could help too.

I had to have an earlier dental, along with a biopsy for a lump on my chest a few months ago - that thankfully was a lipoma. I will update the fundraising goal of this page if additional cost have been incurred.

I am now back at my lovely foster home recovering from the recent treatment and receiving lots of TLC. Oldies Club is a small charity and relies on the support of people like you to enable it to continue rescuing and rehoming dogs like me, so please donate whatever you can.
