Story
🎶 My name is Lola 🎶
🎵I’m not a show girl 🎵
Well - I wasn’t when the kind people at the kennels asked the rescue people at ADDR if they could step in to save me and find me a forever home.
But - I think I could definitely be a show girl now. I’ve come such a long way from the sorry state I was in a few months ago.
I was used as a breeding machine (no, I don’t think that sounds very nice either), I was a really timid, shy and extremely nervous little girl. I was severely underweight. I had hardly any hair, lots of dry skin issues and scabs. And also a cherry eye. As you can see from the photos - I really wasn’t looking very happy, or at my best.
But the kennel staff and the rescue people saw that there was a good girl just waiting to shine - and I think you can tell from my new photos, that thanks to the kindness and love that I’ve now been shown from humans, I’m starting to really look like a little cracker.
Unfortunately, I’ve had a couple of big vets bills so far for the treatments I needed (£413.03 and £455.85) and my ADDR buddy who’s also in foster, Sammy, said that if I put a little plea out to you all, because you helped him out - you might do the same for me?
If you can help me and the people at the rescue out at all - we would all be massively grateful. None of the humans at the rescue get paid for any of the work they do for all of the dogs like me and Sammy, and they rely entirely on the money they receive from donations like yours and fundraising like this to help more dogs like us.
Thank you so much for reading my story and for any help you can give 🐾 x
