Help us to help more people beat cancer.
Thank you for visiting our Shine fundraising page in support of Cancer Research UK. Please dig deep and sponsor us – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.
On Saturday 29th September Joanne Hemmings and Louise Hubbard, (was Doyle), are talking part in Shine London 2012 - Half Marathon walk for Cancer Research UK. We are doing so in memory of 2 special people taken too early this year by cancer, Sheila Fahey and Sandra Jackson, mum and sister of our lovely friend Donna Rawding, (Fahey).
Sheila was diagnosed with cancer on 29th December 2011 and passed away on 3rd January 2012. Sandra was diagnosed only 5 weeks later, and after an 11 week battle, lost her life on 6th April 2012. Sandra was 43 years young.
For the Fahey family, to lose their mum and sister within such a short space of time has been devastating.
Too many families experience the pain of cancer. Indeed we ourselves have family members and friends who have, or are at this present time, going through the pain of cancer, be it themselves or their family members. Whilst some are survivors of this terrible disease, others have not been so fortunate.
This is why raising money for Cancer Research UK is so important to us, so please help us to help more people survive this terrible illness.
Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you. By sponsoring me you can help more people survive cancer.
