We support young people across Scotland to improve their employability and skills

Story

Please help me raise funds for WorkingRite. Every young person deserves a chance - and has the capability of succeeding - with the right support and mentorship. I remember my first boss - and how they helped me learn my job - WorkingRite helps young people start that journey. They support almost 300 young people across Scotland every year through a mentored programme of learning and work experience. It's the practical pathway to a job or apprenticeship - and 80% of those taking part succeed.

WorkingRite, a local Scottish employability charity, has been testing this model (called Rite to Work) across East Ayrshire schools for the last two years with impressive results. Over 80% (41 young people) achieved a start on a working career of their choice. Most came to Rite to Work with a history of poor school attendance and little confidence in their futures. What they achieved by the end of the programme greatly exceeded their expectations.

WorkingRite now hopes that what started in East Ayrshire will expand to benefit many more schools throughout Scotland.

Webhelp and Think Human Foundation will support the project through a grant, as well as additional fundraising from our UK-based passionate game-changers. (I'm kicking my contribution off with this Kiltwalk!!)
