Story

I’m taking part in the 5K Santa run at Greenwich Park on Sunday 9th December, to raise money to help my friends lovely twins, Jack and Rebecca, achieve their dream to walk.

Three year old twins Jack and Rebecca are a ray of sunshine. After their second birthday, the twins were diagnosed with a form of Cerebral Palsy. A life changing operation Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy or SDR for short would help them walk normally is available, but not on the NHS or in the UK.  The twin’s family and friends have taken on the enormous challenge of raising £100,000 to cover the costs of treatment at St Louis Children’s Hospital in the USA, where a programme for children like Jack and Rebecca is well established. The money would not only pay for the operation but all associated cost including equipment, physiotherapy sessions that they'd need afterwards.

It's so important that we give these twins the best start to life that we can, and every single penny really does help us reach that goal.

Thank you very much.

Louise
