Story
On Sunday 03 October 2021, I will be meeting with thousands of others to support this year’s Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk in Clumber Park. All ages all walks of life completing an 8.5 mile walk through the park grounds for one great cause.
I am doing this to raise much needed funding and awareness for Dementia, a cruel and debilitating condition that is very close to my heart. having first-hand experience of much-loved family members who have suffered from and those that are still suffering and will suffer with this (as yet) incurable illness.
I feel compelled to support this cause due to my experiences and doubtless (looking at statistics and from sharing of personal stories) many of you have had your lives touched in one unique way or another by one of the many types of Dementia.
If you are able, please sponsor my venture as generously as you can.
Every three minutes someone in the UK develops dementia. That's the equivalent of around 225,000 people every year. By taking part in or supporting Memory Walk you are helping us walk for a dementia free future and help people affected by dementia.
Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to Alzheimer's Society. So, it's the most efficient way to raise money, saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Let's take on Dementia together!
