Story
In November last year Janet Hudson (Richard and Louise's mum and Ian's mum-in-law) passed away very suddenly whilst on holiday in Australia visitng her daughter Caroline and her new grandson Pascal.
It's now been almost a year and we all wanted to do a challenge to remember her by and raise money for her favourite charity the NSPCC.
We decided on a 179 mile coast to coast cycle across the North of England at the end of September – starting at Walney Island on the Irish Sea and finishing in Whitby by the North Sea. The three day route passes through the Lake District and The Yorkshire Dales, two of Janet's favourite areas in the whole country, which seems a perfect route to remember her with.
It's pretty hilly, and so will require a bit of training but it's nothing we can't handle!
