"For 2010, the Lady Mayoress’ Charity Cycle Ride will be cycling from Salisbury Cathedral to Canterbury Cathedral. In keeping with the theme of this year’s chosen charity it will follow as near as possible along the pilgrims route to .
The Lady Mayoress, Shelia Cragg and the Lord Mayor, Cllr Harry Cragg will be accompanying the party. This year the charities supported are Age Concern and the Save Canterbury Cathedral Appeal.
Age Concern provides care and support to many older people within the District, allowing them to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. At the three centres in , and Whitstable, Age Concern provides services that respond to local needs. The fabric of Canterbury Cathedral requires substantial restoration work and the funds raised from the charity will be directed to a project within work scheduled for the ."
